Empowering Youth Through Soccer

who we are

Grassroot Soccer (GRS) Zambia is an adolescent health organisation that leverages the power of soccer to equip young people with the life-saving information, services, and mentorship they need to live healthier lives. Founded in 2005, GRS Zambia works across seven provinces (Central, Copperbelt, Eastern, Lusaka, Luapula, North-Western, and Southern Provinces).

Coaches (peer mentors) operate in schools and health facility settings through National MOUs with the Ministries of Education and Health, respectively, and have built strong relationships with health and sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) institutions and referral service providers.
